In 2011 I established the Moravian-Silesian Sinfonietta as a civic association. It is the only orchestral academy in the Moravian-Silesian Region and also the only symphonic orchestra in the Czech Republic that is established in a village. My main philosophy is to gather players from the whole Czech Republic and from abroad as well. The function of a managing director of the board of directors lies in directing the orchestra, providing the concerts, communicating with sponsors, but also in active propagation of the Moravian-Silesian Sinfonietta’s reputation. During each season, more than 100 players play in the orchestra. It is a beautiful feeling when a concert is approaching and players are coming from all quarters of the republic to create beautiful music projects together. I’m very happy that I can work in a group of friendly people which pushes me still further and motivates me to prepare more and more challenging programmes. Of course, all of this would be impossible without our supporter – a picturesque village of Řepiště near Frýdek-Místek. Today we are an association.

In October 2012 the managing director of the Moravian-Silesian Sinfonietta Jan Soukup asked me for internal, administrative, and accounting cooperation. I have immediately accepted this offer because at that time I was a student of the School of Business Administration in Karviná and it was an opportunity to acquire some practise and also to participate in beautiful concerts of classical and film music. Today I work in a jolly team of young artists and I’m very happy that many young people engage in the classical music and are interested in the culture. Even though our headquarters is in a village, that supports the Sinfonietta very much, we aim to expand also out of the Moravian-Silesian Region, to perform concerts abroad, and thus to make an impression with our music on as many listeners as possible.

It was absolutely by chance that I got an opportunity to participate with the Moravian-Silesian Sinfonietta and I’m very grateful for that. I performed my first concert with this orchestral academy in 2012. I studied the P. J. Vejvanovský conservatory in Kroměříž and then the University of Ostrava. I took part in many interpretation courses under the leadership of excellent cellists (Gavriel Lipkind, Alexander Ivashkin, Natalia Pavlutskaya, Michaela Fukačová, Jiří Hanousek, Jan Hališka, Petr Nouzovský, Kamil Žvak, Miroslav Petráš, Jozef Podhoranský and others). Nevertheless, the best school still is the real life of a musician. As a concertmaster of violoncellos, with every new project I learn how to work with a team, how to “coach” the whole cello group, how to give them the energy and enthusiasm for creation of beautiful music even though sometimes I don’t have enough energy myself. As a production manager I learn to communicate, to solve problems, to make new contacts and to coordinate things. I am a teacher who constantly learns something. Thanks for that.

After finishing my studies at the Conservatory of P. J. Vejvanovský in Kroměříž I found out I miss the opportunity to play in an orchestra very much. I was therefore very enthusiastic about the offer of the director Jan Soukup to cooperate with this orchestra. My “premier” in this ensemble took place in March 30, 2014, when as a member of the second violins section I played the Spring Concert. Working in this musical ensemble is very interesting for me, especially due to very good team, repertoire, and excellent management. During my studies at the conservatory I had the opportunity to look into music archives, to take old sheet music in my hands and to feel its scent and structure. Thus, I was very happy when I was asked to manage the music archive of the Moravian-Silesian Sinfonietta which is still growing larger.
