Adam Sedlický – chef conductor
Adam Sedlický (*1991 – Trnava)
Was born in Žilina. Since his studies at Art primary school Ladislav Árvay in Žilina he attended a several piano competitions, where he acquired leading positions (Celoslovenska piano competition M. Schneider – Trnavsky in Trnava – gold zone, Piano competition J. Cikker in Banska Bystrica – silver zone).
In 2006 he started to study in the piano class Mgr. art. Darina Švárna. At National piano competition of slovak conservatories in 2008 he was awarded by honour prize in 1st category. As a piano soloist played in Wienna, Bratislava, Piešťany, Bojnice. With his colleague Rastislav Huba (cello player) were awarded 1st prize in the International competition ,,Play together“in the chamber music in Kaunas (Latvia). In the 2010 at the National competition slovak conservatories he obtained as a member of trio 2nd prize. As a soloist and chamber member performed several times his playing in TV production ,,Studio of young“ which was transmitted in Slovak radio.
From 2004 he is active in choir singing. Actually he is a member of greatest choirs in the Slovak republic. During his piano studies in 2008 he decided to devote his talent too conducting. He started attend class of conducting under direction doc. Štefan Sedlický. After the year he cooperated as asistent in symphonic orchestra of Žilina conservatory under direction Karol Kevický and Igor Bulla. With this orchestra performed a several concerts.
Now he is a student of 2nd class orchestral conducting at University of performing Arts in Bratislava in the class of conducting Mgr. art. Marián Lejavu, ArtD. As a member of this school he cooperate with main conductor. With the orchestra Veni academy he performed one project at the festival ,,Music of new taste“ in November 2012.
In september 2012 he was apponinted as a conductor´s assistent in Bratislava children choir. At the season 2011/2012 he work as a chief conductor in Moravskoslezská Sinfonietta. He worked with the soloist as Mario Zhang (tenor), Jana Doležílková (soprano), Eliška Weissová (mezzosoprano), Jakub Kettner (barytone), Peter Grabovský (violin).
